the shawn m. donnelley center for nonprofit communications
One of my most fulfilling undergraduate experiences was acting as Creative Director of the Shawn M . Donnelley Center! During my final semester at Loyola, I oversaw the creative department at the DC and acted as an additional designer myself. I also was a part of the Web Team, a group of people recruited to take our outdated webpage on the Loyola organizations list and create our own website! It was such a fulfilling experience and I'm so proud to have played a part in the our new site's design.

One of the creative department's most instrumental responsibilities was to keep our social platforms looking fresh! Since the DC had recently implemented brand refresh, I wanted to make sure our social media was as up to date as possible.
My tiny (but mighty) department of three designers (including myself) designed these Instagram highlight covers. I wanted to make sure we had a more modern and unified look than the covers before them. The DC was created by Brittany Cooper, The Story was created by myself and The Clients was created by Kennedy Garrett.

#MeetTheStaff
Monday posts
In addition to redesigning the story covers, we wanted to refresh a few of the classic DC series featured throughout the Instagram. One of them was #MeetTheStaffMondays. Our team drew inspiration from the previous semester's social media recruitment ad. Taking a few components like the organic lines and grid-like boxes, we used the new color scheme and a fresh typeface to liven up the feed a bit more. Every Monday we featured a new member of the DC, discussing their roll within the agency including a little fun tidbit at the end.

#featurefriday posts
Similar to #MeetTheStaffMondays, we wanted to start a weekly Feature Friday series where we promote one of our clients! Each Friday, we introduced a different client and discussed their mission. Using a similar color palette and decorative elements, I created the Feature Friday look.

Valentine's Day interactive story
One smaller social graphic I created for the DC Instagram story was this Valentine's Day story tag! We prompted our followers to screenshot and fill out the categories themselves, tagging a friend who each description.

It was so fun to make! Especially the DC Sweethearts (which unfortunately don't actually exist). This story earned us far more engagement than we had the month before and was a great means of gaining more followers and interactions!

Client Work:
10TH INSTITUTE LOGO
During my semester with the Donnelley Center for Non-profit Communications I had the pleasure of creating this logo for CILI's 10th Institute internship program! CILI already had their own branding established, but wanted to make the 10th Institute more marketable and attractive to prospective student interns.
I am so happy I could create a logo for an organization promoting such a great cause!
